Actress Rimi Sen Joins Congress Party

Former U'khand CM Harish Rawat Hails Her As 'Icon Of Change'

On Monday, February 7, Bollywood actress Rimi Sen, whose true name is Subhamitra Sen, joined the Congress Party in Uttarakhand.

Rimi Sen, according to Rawat, will become a symbol of transformation and pave the way for positive developments.

"Rimi Sen is a well-known personality in the film industry and a previous star idol of the BJP," Rawat said in welcoming him to the party.

I am overjoyed to welcome her to the Congress Party as she travels to Uttarakhand to usher in a new era."

The entrance of Rimmi Sen, a Bengali, might be interpreted as the Congress' attempt to court Bengali voters in the state, particularly in the Udham Singh Nagar district.

A large Bengali community lives in the district.

Rimi Sen's acting career includes roles in popular Bollywood films like as 'Hungama,' 'Dhoom,' and 'Golmaal,' among others.

She also appeared in the Salman Khan film 'Kyun Ki.' In 2015, she also took part in the television reality show Bigg Boss.
